On July 10, Susanna Mälkki will participate in a livestreamed debate hosted by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. The purpose of this debate is to recall what would have been the 2020 Aix Festival, how the COVID-19 crisis has stopped the making of this season activities, and explore new perspectives.
John Allison, editor-in-chief of the British magazine Opera, moderates the debate, and joining Susanna Mälkki as guests are stage director Pierre Audi, and conductors Sir Simon Rattle and Thomas Hengelbrock.
The debate will be broadcast on the website of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and on YouTube.
